Lisa Rudd

Director of Kidz Ministries

Lisa Rudd has grown up in Camarillo for most of her childhood. She met her husband John at Pacific Camps, married in 2007 and they have adopted 3 amazing children, two out of foster care and one through private adoption. She currently homeschools her children and loves spending time with her family doing adventures. They like to go camping, travel, and play games with friends. Since making CamCC their home church, Lisa has joined the Worship team and has a desire to connect people in the church with other people.

Faith Elder

Assistant Director of Kidz Ministries

Faith Elder has been a member of the Camarillo Community Church family since 1999, where she met her husband, Jacob, in the High School Youth Ministry. They married in 2010 and share a deep love for their church and family. Faith has served in ministry for years—first mentoring high school students, then college students while working as an adjunct faculty member at Biola University, and more recently, leading K-3 classes and directing Cubbies in the church’s Awana program. She and Jacob are blessed with two wonderful boys, and as a family, they cherish camping and spending time outdoors.

4th & 5th Grade Ministry

4th and 5th Ministry is a new and focused ministry for CamCC. We are putting an effort to make sure that children at this age start to feel like church is a place that belongs to them. We frame our Sundays with their needs and wants in mind. We want them to leave knowing that there is a place where they will always be welcome. Our goal is to have a fun and safe environment that encourages biblical teaching.

Sundays at 9am

Check-in is upstairs in front of room 203

You can find us every Sunday at 9am and 1045am upstairs in room 203. We want the room to be inviting to all 4th and 5th graders; we have an art table, a board game table, video games, and students who are looking to have fun! We also go outside for an exciting group game before we come back inside and start our message time. Our messages are simple and concise with one main point for the 4th and 5th graders to focus on. There is a huge treasure chest filled with candy and trinkets for students who answer questions that are based on our message time.

Outreach events

Four times a year, we have events outside of our normal Sunday gatherings. We like to get creative with these events and do something the 4th and 5th graders don’t normally get to do such as ice blocking, kiddie pool kickball, giant nerf wars, and even turning the church into an escape room! These events are more than just fun nights; they also serve as an easy way for students to invite their non-believing friends to church. We always end our night with a gospel message and an invitation to join us on Sundays.
