Overview

Camarillo Community Church • Camarillo, CA

Camarillo Community Church has been a part of the Camarillo for over 50 years. We have always been known for being a Christ focused church. Our Head Pastor David Hurtado is leading the church into a new and exciting era. Many updates have occurred as well as growth in the congregation. The congregation is currently around 400 adults on a Sunday morning. As part of his leadership, David has brought forth new vision and values that are received well and exhibit a glimpse of the Kingdom of God. Many of the staff of the church are veteran ministers with a wealth of knowledge and experience, though several are young.

The church has various ministries including a robust Youth Department (4th & 5th grade, Middle School, & High School), Children’s Ministries (Pre-school, K-3, Seven C’s Day Care), and Growth Groups (small groups). The facility consists of two large buildings, one of which is primarily used for youth ministry. Our primary services are on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM & 10:45 AM. Youth Services are currently only during the second service. Middle School Ministry (MSM) has a midweek program on Friday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. historically our Middle School program’s average attendance has been from the upper 30s to the low 40s.

The Opportunity

Camarillo Community Church is in need of an up and coming youth minister that has the raw talent to teach, administrate and minister to youth. The Middle School Pastor will need to both be intentional and motivated. With Pastor David’s vision, the church has become a strong hybrid of a Bible teaching church while embracing many attractional methods. Our Sundays are geared towards the believer, with opportunities for non-believers to come to know Jesus. The Middle School Pastor will develop a yearly plan for the Middle school ministry of our church and community structured around evangelistic outreach, discipleship, worship, the fellowship of believers and encouraging students to volunteer in ministry. This includes planning major outreach events, camps, and other opportunities for new students to come. They will also need to prepare biblical sermons for students and small group questions relevant to Scripture and their lives.
