November Community Impact Initiative

For the month of November, CamCC will be partnering with the Ventura Ronald McDonald Family Room. This room, located at Ventura County Medical Center, serves as an oasis of calm within the busy, clinical setting of a hospital. It provides a space and amenities so that families can be bedside as much as possible.

Ways to get involved

  • 1. Donate Items

    Purchase needed items from their wishlist below and drop off in the church lobby. They should be unopened and unused.

    • Bubbles - Bubbles are essential for RSV and flu season to help our patients exercise their lungs, in a fun way!

    • Instant Noodles - Instant noodles like Cup Noodles and Instant Lunch provide some warm comfort to our patients and families!

    • Hot Chocolate - While the parents have their coffee, the kiddos enjoy their hot chocolate!

    • New Stuffed Animals: Stuffed animals provide a soft, warm hug to our patients!

    • Chapstick/Lotion: These are essential in the Family Room for the Winter season!

  • 2. Sew a pillowcase

    Pillowcase Marathon at CamCC
    Sat, Nov 8th from 9am-3pm in the Activity Center.

    Join us as we sew pillowcases for kids at the Ventura County Medical Center! A fun, handmade pillowcase can bring comfort and a sense of home/normalcy in a hospital room. Sewing kits will be available. If you have a sewing machine, we encourage you to bring it. For more info, contact Gayle Moyer at (805) 469-4920.
